...but... United the the most terrible airlines ever. I thought it was bad coming to the US, but they really derped trying to fly Gary and me back to Japan. Our airbus was over 30 minutes late, the captain flew us 15 minutes off course, there was 10 minutes of some kind of...air hang time stuff... before we could land. And when we landed, the gate was already taken. Overall, we only would of had an hour to get to our next plane...if we had landed on time. But we were about an hour and a half late. P:

The pilot was sarcastic as fuck over the intercomm, and the airline help could only crack bad jokes in hopes of calming down the really old people.

Me? I just slept when I could, knowing we'd miss our plane by the time we landed in San Francisco. I giggled at how frustrated and hysterical some people were getting. I nearly laughed in one lady's face (she just had to turn around) cause she had to be like 60, and she was crying and stopping her feet and hitting signs...all cause it made her miss a day of a "vacation she really deserves".

About 6 of us passengers were military heading for Japan. United airlines blamed all the issues on Air Traffic Control, so "the most they could do" was give us all coupons that gave us discounts at selected hotels. Oh, they only had 2 flights that day...so we had to wait until this morning. The hotel we stayed at had really nice people working there, but the room wasn't super comfortable, the internet only worked a few minutes at a time, they didn't have much as far as toiletries go, and their free breakfast was a choice between cereal and toast. Well...whatever.

So I'm sitting at the airport now...again. 3 hours early to catch my plane back to Tokyo. whew.

Well, recap on the San Diego adventure:

I got to meet both and . I hung out with Rich more, going to the beach, out to dinner, and hanging around a mall on my 2nd to the last (um...3rd to the last now?) day. Had so much fun~ We built a sandcastle ([link] Yay, digital artists) and roamed about tidepools.

I did go back to the zoo and took a lot of animal pictures~  [link]
Had a lot of fun there. Lots of walking around and entertainment and just...fun learning. Unlike Sea World...that was...boring learning. My god, that park has nothing going for it nowadays. >_>;

Then I got lucky and Doomy wound up coming over to San Diego. For those who don't know, I've known her for like 8-9 years here on DA. She lived in Japan while I lived in TX. Then when I went to Japan, she flew back to TX. We kept missing one another and suddenly we both wound up in the same town that laid between TX and Japan. @_@ We just hung out. Ate, went to GameStop, played pool (we suck). On my last day (now 2nd to last...), we went and watched the new MiB movie~ I think it's a GREAT movie. I will watch that again. The 2nd movie wasn't so great, I know... don't think of that one going into the 3rd.

And that was it. Other days, it was just Gary and I chilling around watching movies (My unicorn cartoons, his alien movies...and we're watching Hetalia). Half the time my internet didn't work, and when it did, DA was the only site that didn't work properly. So I've been submitting regularly on Y!Gallery and FA (all my mature work there...), and now y'all are being hit all at once with what I've been doing.

Another journal to come about Hakuoki. OMG, THIS GAME. THE FEELS. ;~;


What a great choice DA. So much sentimental value behind MarinaTsunamia... but it felt so mary-sue of me to keep it that name. Marina Tsunamia is a character of mine...and that's how I'll like to keep it.

If you want the history behind this name...it's a nickname I've been called since high school by ~ILtyPyra. When she used to say stuff like "Rina Rina Rina-ran-can-tan-ban-stand" or simply "RINA-RAN-RINA-RAN-RINA-RAN" really quickly.

It stuck. I recognize it well, I like it a lot, and it's not a character of mine. And I'm referred to as Rina more than anything else, so now that'll be very clear~

Been lazy the past few days~ Don't really expect an update 'til next weekend.

Gary has had school everyday until 2pm at least.  4pm one of the days... he comes home and we kinda just lounge in the sun and be lazy bums. Caught up with Legend of Korra, Game of Thrones, and River Monsters. Started watching Hetalia~ ha ha.

Gary has started playing Tera. Kinda... he doesn't seem as obsessed about this MMO as he was about others.

Highlight of the trip had to be eating dinner with *FireCatRich and her significant other. We had a great time meeting up and talking, and we'll be seeing each other again before this vacation is over. Beach~ yes.

I'm suppose to be having dinner with my FFXIV linkshell leader soon to. Need to finalize that date... MEETING ONLINE FRIENDS IS SO MUCH FUN~ Yay for being in a state where so many are.

Decently cheap commisions- New~I've been using my markers more and more, and I think I've pretty much gotten the hang of them, for the most part, so I want to open up commissions to make a bit of money for.. more markers. And doll stuff. I really want some more doll stuff for Flo and Lo. Because entire paychecks go to food and bills.. I want some money on the side to do what I want with. ;~;

Anyways, there's not much as far as options go. It's all going to run the same so I don't end up straining my brain too much.

So basically, for $20 you get a knees-up one character colored commission, but it's not really just that. I'll also send you the original copy for only two do

So Gary's surprise didn't get me petting any animals. I guess it was advertise that you could 'meet the horses', but that never happened or we never figured out where to go.

He took me to the Medieval Times restaurant. Which is great by me since I love medieval stuff and all the knights and replica weapons were really freaking cool. A themed feast that forces you to eat with your hands! Yaaaaaay~ No silverware was provided which was so awesome to me (but not to the granny sitting next to me... quite a pouty person...)

And it was so easy to get dragged into the hype of the knights' tournament games. The fighting looked really good except for when they kicked each other. Like they full out hurled swords and maces at one another, but when they kicked it was so soft. Just odd.

Jousting. That's all I'll say...Jousting.

Our knight wound up winning the tournament and facing the final enemy at the end. Typical storyline...but like I said, it was easy to get dragged into cheering and screaming for you knight to win. Like when I saw him pick up the second sword, I was like OH, IT'S ON! IT'S FREAKING ON NOW! And we got to see some dual wielding action as he faced 3 guys at once.

Other than that, our wench was pleasingly in character and didn't mind us yelling out "MOAR WINE! MOAR PEPSI!" to call him over. The swords dealer was another pleasing character to me. Gary left me for the bathroom as I hung out by his shop, and he greets me with "M'lday, could I possibly interest you in the sword of Scotland?" and he passed me over this huge bastard sword that was probably taller than me. And then he let me examine any other blade replica he had.

Totally a blast. I have a free ticket if anyone is interested in me sending it to them. First comment who wants it, I'll send it.

As for today, it was our first relax day, as we spent it doing nothing except going out to eat once.


So the flights weren't bad at all. I had at least 2 seats to myself on both planes, so I was allowed to lay across both. I brought my own pillow and blanket, so I got comfortable real quick and fell asleep before take off.

Immediately out of the airport Gary picked me up to take me to the Cheesecake Factory and to the movie theater to watch The Avengers. Y'all already have heard enough about that movie, so I'm not going to beat you with it anymore.

And after that it was a night of watching Game of Thrones... and one thing lead to another....and...

...I wound up showing Gary this old internet video that I was surprised to find he hasn't seen. AND HE'S HAD IT ON REPEAT ALL MORNING.

So today he's going to take me to whatever his big surprise place is. All he tells me is that there's animals there I can pet, and it's not a zoo. So I still don't have much of a clue. x.x;
